This landscape painting was inspired by a street in my neighborhood. I get a lot of inspiration while walking my dog. Like many of my other paintings I took the view and revised it to make the painting work. This landscape painting was done in Spring, before the leaves were really on the trees. In Spring I yearn for Summer as you can see.
The painting shows a row of houses on the left. The sun is shinning from in back and it creates a bright stripe of grass horizontally across the picture plane. A large tree is on the right in the foreground on the lawn. This is a neighborhood without sidewalks.
This beautiful painting has a festive feeling of Summer. It would look great in back of a couch. |
