This landscape painting with houses is a birdeye view of a neighborhood. It has the warm, friendly feeling that seems to come naturally to me, even though I don't always feel that way. There is a yellow house in the foreground with bushes and a fence around. Coming toward the house is a man with a dog. It looks like me. There are other houses in this neighborhood landscape painting. They recede into the background. It is a brilliant sunny day and everything seems right with the world.
I had originally done this painting in more momotone colors. I took the painting to an event and it looked completely different in the new atmosphere and I could see that the colors did not look right. I reworked the whole thing and I am happy with it now. |
